Ecopsychology is a contemporary movement within psychology that recognizes a connection between mental health and the natural environment. It explores ways in which intentional connection with the natural world can contribute to increased psychological wellness, as well as resolution of environmental problems. This workshop provides an introduction to ecopsychological theory and practice. Participants will be guided toward self reflection regarding their own “environmental identity,” as well as ways to integrate ecopsychology into their work as counselors.
